I will also grant that ME doesn't compare to Gears or Call of Duty because it is an inferior shooter compared to them. Thank Christ weapon customisation came back though, Mass Effect 2's weaponry was piss-poor.

RE: Mass Effect 3
After playing the MP demo more and more, I have begun to like it more! It was confusing at first, I thought I had the same control scheme as SP but yeah, that's definitely not the case. So why are all the loading screens controller layout information WRONG?! That bugged the hell out of me, could not bring up the power/weapon wheel yet the hints told me to do so. But after learning how the MP controller layout works it pretty awesome. Two maps can get a little stale but having 3 different difficulties and access to most of the cast is a great way to keep the MP demo lots of love. I just wonder if this is pretty much what to expect from MP at this point? I was really hoping for some red Dead Remption type co-op missions.

RE: Mass Effect 3
I think this will pretty much be what it is, there looks like there could be quite a few sizes based on the size of the galaxy. And in the full version being able to change the enemies you are against could keep things interesting as well.

Mostly, I've decided I'll be starting off the game on the hardest possible difficulty as I've recently been playing through Mass Effect 2 again on Insanity and the game is A LOT better.

I miss ME2, Insanity is pretty much legitimately insane.

It is, but it forces you to play it a lot more carefully as well. Sitting back behind cover, utilising all of your squads abilities. Any other difficulty? Storm through like a boring cover shooter.

I've been meaning to try re-playing the series on insanity, I've decided not to buy ME3 at launch so I'll do it for sure now.

I don't like the direction it has taken and don't feel the need to buy it immediately - I can happily wait on the product. Part of it is the game's fault, part of it is me looking for a reason not to buy it when there's other cheaper games I still need to get like MGSHD.

Understandable, I feel the EXACT same way about Street Fighter x Tekken coming out that very same day. I hate it. I can not wait to get MGSHD, if I have any money left from my EVo2k binge I'm getting that.

RE: Mass Effect 3
So, you lucky Americans get it any hour now. So I'll be abandoning the internet to a certain degree to avoid any and all spoilers relating to the game. I'll use the Last Story to distract myself until launch. Only two sleeps to go.

I ruined for you all last time when I pretty much spoiled everything in #ME2.... but then again it was for XBOX owners though.

I had no trouble, just loaded up the import feature and picked the latest save I head post-Omega 4 Relay.

RE: Mass Effect 3
It's almost as if Mass Effect 3 WANTS me to hate it.

Gear up to play some more single-player, game locks up when I open my map to the Citadel... stays locked up for awhile so I switch my console off for a bit and then switch it back on. And as if like magic my PS3 no longer reads discs.

Thanks, Mass Effect 3. Just, thanks.

RE: Mass Effect 3
I've heard there are some issues with the PS3 version, sounds like BioWare has Bethesda syndrome with shipping unpolished products. As for the 360 version it is really annoying how often you have to change disks. I'm like 12 hours in and I've swapped back and forth between the disks 3 or 4 times already, I don't really understand why.

Game is awesome though!
