[PS3, X360] North American Release Window Announced for BlazBlue: Continuum Shift

Have you gotten a bit tired of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger? Hungering for something that feels more fresh, but without the substantial changes that will leave you out in the cold. Well, Aksys has news that might interest you.

A release window has been announced for BlazBlue: Continuum Shift (being localised by Aksys of course) which is the highly anticipated follow-up to Calamity Trigger. As it stands, the game is aiming for a Summer release, and will be available on both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 at launch.

The updated game will feature new characters, "Beginner's Mode" (this will simplify the control scheme), "Challenge Mode" (which will include character specific missions), and "Legion Mode" (a strategy mini-game in which players fight enemies to gain control of a map).

Gail Salamanca, marketing direction at Aksys, thinks that you should prepare to board the hype train in preparation for this game. The question is, are you going to? If you can't wait that long and want a fill of BlazBlue on the go, then don't forget BlazBlue: Portable recently released for PSP, it may help make the wait for shorter.
