In order to celebrate the release of Castle Crashers on the Playstation Network, previously only available on the Xbox Live Arcade service, we here at vgZero have teamed up with developers The Behemoth to give you a chance to win some sweet swag!

Last week we teased you with a video (Click here to see!) of the swag but now 3 lucky winners will be able to get their hands on the goodies. First up is the top prize of the king statue (with a stand signed by the developers) along with two pins and two phone charms -

Bow down to me peasants!

The two runners up will each receive a stress chicken, a key ring, two pins and a phone charm -

How do I get my hands on this sweet sweet swag I hear you ask, well all you have do is draw me a picture of a Castle. You can use any PC art software from paint to GIMP or Photoshop or even draw on paper and scan onto the PC, it's down to you. You can then upload it to a site like imageshack.us or photobucket.com and then post the link with the following tags in this thread. I'm not just looking for your PC drawing skills though as I want you all to get into the spirit of Castle Crashers. Have some fun, I'm looking for originality and humor in the pieces!

I didn't want to show you all up but here's my example using Paint, it took me a good 3 hours. Good luck beating it.

The contest is open to all United States and Canada residents and is accepting entries until 0:00 BST Thursday 9th September so you have a full week to enter.

Don't forget to hop on over to http://www.thebehemoth.com to see all the latest news from the developers of Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers and their upcoming game Battle Block Theater. Castle Crashers is available on the PSN for $14.99 or alternatively on the Xbox Live Arcade for 1200 Microsoft points, both services offer a free demo of the game and we here at vgZero have a review in the works for you.

Retailers started leaking details about Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Ultimate Edition earlier this month, however now we have confirmation that EA is going to be releasing it.

It will retail for the price of $60, and the package includes Onslaught Mode, Battlefield 1943 (originally a download exclusive title), and items included in the original limited edition on the game disc. So, its definitely worth looking into if you haven't picked up DICE's sequel.

However, do remember that this isn't the game has left to pump out. It still has Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam to release at some point in the near future, so watch this space.

"Jimmy's Vendetta" is the new downloadable content pack that is heading for release on 2K's Mafia II as announced via a press release. You will have your chance to download it on the 7th of September for the modest price of $9.99 / 800 MSP on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC.

The content sees players in the shoes of Jimmy, the guy who the other guys call to clean up their jobs and finish them off. It will bring an assortment of up to 30 missions, featuring the likes of: assassination missions, timed vehicle chases and explosive car chases. It presents the game in a much more arcade-like manner, which a few reviewers actually enjoyed about the PS3 exclusive "Jimmy's Betrayal" DLC.

So, if you own the game it might be worth looking into.
Featuring a plot slightly similar to the Saw franchise, the story for 999 unfolds in the form of 9 people locked on an old ferry behind 9 doors, they have to solve various puzzles in 9 hours otherwise they will drown.

It is unknown at this point if the game will be able to challenge Professor Layton, but you'll be able to see this November.

Square Enix have just detailed the downloadable content that is due to hit Kane & Lynch 2 very soon. How soon you ask? The 31st of August, of course! So we'd best get a move on. There are three separate packs to choose from:

Doggie Back Pack
This pack introduces five exclusive new weapons (for multiplayer and arcade modes) to the action as well as adding two new levels, including Dockyard and High Rise, (and the third being the pre-order exclusive Radio Tower stage) for you to have fun in. The new weapons are the DD 33, KL Viper, RTS, SMi 69, and the TOQ Model Four S. Pricing as as follows: for PlayStation 3 and Steam you'll be looking at $5.99 / €5.99 whereas for the Xbox 360 you'll be looking at 560 MSP.

Alliance Weapons Pack
This pack brings a load of weapons (for multiplayer and arcade modes) that were available as pre-order bonuses, however now will be available to everyone for a price. The weapons included are the Doretta Silenced, Steele 870, TOQ SBR, Kaliningrad 47, PAC 10 silenced, N 77P Silenced, and the TOQ Elite. Pricing here is cheaper considering the lack of stages. PlayStation 3 and Steam users will be looking at $2.99 / €2.99 whilst Xbox 360 users will be set back 240 MSP.

Multiplayer Mask Pack
The final pack brings a number of masks stolen from a Chinese gift shop, there are 8 in total for you to put on your character. This will help you betray your friends with greater ease. Consisting of only masks, this is the cheapest of the packs. PlayStation 3 and Steam users will be set back $1.99 / €1.99 and Xbox 360 will be paying 160 MSP.

Happy heisting!!

I'm sure we are all equally excited for Wii Party, Nintendo's next installment in its series of Wii titles. So without further delay, we are happy to inform our loyal readers that it will be hitting store shelves over in Europe on the 8th of October.
Much like the Japanese version of the game, you will receive a free Wii remote bundled with it. No announcements along these lines have been made for America as of yet, but you can probably expect word soon.

Until then, check out Wii Party's retail success in Japan.
Does your day need a kick start? Want to feel as though you are giving to a greater cause? Well, Hudson have got the exact thing that you are looking for!

If you check out the Lost in Shadow Facebook page, and click the "like" button then Hudson will be pledging money to Child's Play. The even will run from the 30th of August through til the 7th of September. Basically, how it will work is that for ever person that clicks "like", Hudson will donate 10c to Child's Play. However, if you go that extra mile and change your Facebook picture to that of a shadow then Hudson will bump the donation up to $1.

The totals will be added up on the 7th of September, so you had better get clicking!
Following news of the slick hike in Xbox Live fees, some fans of Microsoft's console may be feeling a bit disappointing. Now, there is a rumour circulating that Joystiq have got a credible source stating that Microsoft may have a surprise ready.

They allegedly have it on "good authority" that Microsoft will be releasing a controller featuring a unique d-pad. According to Joystiq's source, "when one rotates the d-pad ninety degrees on this new controller, it'll raise up about a quarter of an inch -- a modification apparently revealed to be targeted at fighting game fans."

Obviously this isn't confirmed yet and is only a rumour at this point, so we'll have to wait and see if it comes to fruition.

UPDATE: The information has been confirmed by Microsoft themselves, no prices or dates have been announced yet but it is apparently being prepped for a reveal tomorrow.

Sales for Sony's handheld have practically floundered in recent months and years, especially when compared against Nintendo's little dual-screened sales juggernaut. Nothing remedies a sales slump like a new hardware bundle, at least that's what Sony is banking on with the new God of War: Ghost of Sparta Entertainment Pack. Due out on November 2 alongside the release of God of War: Ghost of Sparta, the $200 USD bundle includes a respectable collection of goodies:

- Special edition black and red PSP-3000.
- Hard copy of God of War: Ghost of Sparta.
- Voucher for a downloadable copy of God of War: Chains of Olympus, the first handheld God of War title.
- Kick Ass UMD movie.
- 2 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo.

Furthermore, by pre-ordering Kratos' latest blood-splattering adventure alone or as part of the hardware bundle, you will receive the following additional content:

- Ghost of Sparta original soundtrack.
- Ghost of Sparta PSP theme.
- God of War dynamic PS3 theme.
- Kratos avatar for PlayStation Network.
- Legionnaire skin for use in Ghost of Sparta.
- Game directors documentary about the God of War franchise.

If you've been holding off on purchasing a PSP, this November might be the best time to do it, if you can dig up a couple hundred bones whilst forking over for the laundry list of other huge titles coming out this holiday season.

You may have heard of the infamous Gran Turismo 5, it was finally dated for November, which many would argue is a miracle itself. However, now we have learned more information about the game.

Through a tweet, it has been revealed that you will have the option to install game data for Gran Turismo 5 to your PlayStation 3's hard-drive. The size of the install is roughly 10GB, which is a fairly large install. It is, of course, an optional install. The game can run from the PlayStation 3 using only the minimal 256MB, but opting for the full install will allow the game to run a lot smoother.

Remember to look out for Gran Turismo 5 this November, and if you've got some spare cash maybe you'll find yourself looking at the extravagant Collector's Edition?

Remember in the original Space Invaders? Remember how you could only move your ship left and right? Well, prepare to have that concept turned on its head in the forthcoming Space Invaders: Infinity Gene, which will allow you to fly through the levels.

Originally, the revamped Space Invaders title was released on mobile phones in Japan and then it hit the iPhone. Now word has surfaced that the title will be hitting both the PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live Arcade this September.

It looks as though the prices for Xbox Live are set to creep a little bit higher. Microsoft's Major Nelson has announced the new prices will be in place on the 1st of November, and they will apply to the US, Canada, Mexico and the UK.

Some examples of the new US pricing includes: One month Gold Membership will jump from $7.99 USD to $9.99 USD, three month Gold Membership will jump from $19.99 USD up to $25.99 USD, and the twelve month Gold Membership will jump from $49.99 USD to $59.99 USD. For the UK the one month Gold Membership will go from £4.99 up to £5.99. The Canadian one month Gold Membership will go from being $8.99 CAD up to $9.99 CAD. And finally the Mexican twelve month Gold Membership will jump from 499 pesos up to 599 pesos.

Be sure to check the actual blog for more details, but basically if you want to get it cheaper while you can you have two options. You can either A) top up now through Xbox.com while the prices are still lower or B) hit up Amazon and other online retailers to find cheap XBL cards and buy a ton of them now.

Nelson confirms that if it isn't included on the list (such as the price for a twelve month subscription in the UK), then the price won't change. This also means the $99 USD Xbox Live Gold Family Plan will not climb in price.

As is all the rage these days, todays announcement comes via a Twitter account, luckily it is a credible Twitter account (although it feels strange to use 'credible' and 'Twitter' in the same sentence).

Gearbox has tweeted that they are officially planning to release the Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition this year. The release will be available across all platforms (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC) and will include all four downloadable expansions as well as a bonus fold-out map detailing the world of Borderlands. It will hit shelves on the 12th of October, and will set you back $60 USD for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and $50 USD for PC.

Perhaps this confirms that the strategy guide that appeared back in July but was later removed may be real after all.
