Notes:
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 destroyed the previous record for week one sales, selling 8.14 million copies worldwide on Xbox 360 and PS3, and another half million on PC. The previous record was held by Grand Theft Auto IV which sold 5.92 million in its first week.
- The $550 million in revenue for the first five days makes Modern Warfare 2 the biggest entertainment product launch in history.
- The Xbox 360 version of MW2 sold 4.94 million copies alone, making it the biggest single console game launch of all time, beating the previous record of 3.99 million held by GTA: San Andreas on PS2 in 2004.
- Resident Evil 5 is the 13th PS3 title to sell one million copies in the Americas.

I wish there was a demo for Dragon's Age. I hadn't really heard about it until a friend mentioned how much he liked it and I saw it on the list here. Has anyone here picked it up? If so let me know your impressions.

My room mate's been playing it on his PS3. It looks alright, being I'm not a big fan of RPGs like this (or BioWare for that matter). So take that for what you will.

I suggest getting it on the PC, due to there being frame rate issues and graphics that aren't all that fun to look at on the consoles.

Yeah, it is a PC game through and through. If your PC can handle it, it's a must buy. If you're interested though get it for your 360, Bioware are a better developer for the 360 than the PS3. It's a bit like Baldur's gate.

Looks like Lord of the Rings to me. For god's sake, a Dwarf called Balin?! When will I find Balin's Tomb with the Fellowship... And the music sounds like Lord of the Rings to me. So I shall rent it.

I've played through Dragon Age once and it is well worth the purchase. I finished the main story in about 40 hours but one could easily spend 60 or more completing all the quests (and it never feels like it is getting old or repetitive), not to mention there are six different character types, each with their own unique storyline. And of course BioWare's patented good-or-bad guy style and multiple story paths will make you want to play at least twice through, so you will get your money's worth.

If you have played any of BioWare's other games (KOTOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect), you should have a good idea of what to expect (although perhaps with more strategy involved), only in a different setting which obviously draws heavily from the lore of the Lord of the Rings.
