Red Steel 2 Work-in-Progress Box Art, Preorder Bonus "In the Works"

Above is shown the official work-in-progress box art for Red Steel 2 by Ubisoft themselves. What do you guys think so far? it looks really good as is. This reporter really hopes that they keep it in a similar style.

Ubisoft also says that there will be a preorder bonus announced "soon". I'm sure some of you readers may consider it?

I would be happy if that was the final version. A book with the artwork of the game would be a cool pre-order bonus.

I've never played these games but this looks pretty cool. Is the first one really good?

Only after the last river has been poisoned.
Only after the last fish has been caught.
Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten."

The first one is okay. Mostly a victim of overhype but it isn't exactly the crapfest everyone tries to make it out to be.

I like the boxart. Better than the first one.

The first one is mostly rubbish, but I suppose its heart was in the right place. Pity not much else was.

Odds are that things could change for the sequel though, time will tell.

I'm still considering it. It'll probably be great, but I don't think it'll outdo the first (only in my opinion, though. It'll probably own the first with all of you).

No blood takes it down a few notches for me. Not because I am a gore whore, but because I feel that a sword game without blood feels way to fake. Its why I found it a bit harder to get through No More Heroes, but at least it had black smoke.

The producer said they wanted to focus on gameplay and teen rating, but i think they could have put blood in the game and keep a teen rating epescially with that art style.

Yeah, I think they'd have been fine as long as it wasn't MadWorld esque bloody.

RE: Red Steel 2 Work-in-Progress Box Art, Preorder Bonus "In the Works"
Well I'm pretty sure that what they wanted to do was shoot for the T rating as opposed to the M, especially now that retailers have smartened up and aren't just selling M games to kids anymore.

RE: Red Steel 2 Work-in-Progress Box Art, Preorder Bonus "In the Works"
You can have blood and still maintain a teen rating, even the old Tony Hawk games had blood, there were even cheats for extra blood and it was still T so why could Red Steel 2 have it its called Red Steel (2) for a reason...mabye
