Nintendo DSi LL Officially Announced - LemonManX - 10-29-2009 02:10 AM

It was rumoured a while back, but now Nintendo have officially announced the DSi LL. It is slated for release on November 21st, for 20,000 yen. As of yet there is no word on a Western releases just yet. But one would expect it won't be too far away.

One thing I don't like about this.

Well, two, it screws over customers that got fooled into buying the first DSi, and one is that the larger screen size will make all currently existing DS games ugly. Nobody wants that.

The only real upgrade I see that's beneficial to any of this is a more comfortable stylus, but at the risk of nothing more than an uglier resolution for your games. This makes the Go seem reasonable.

Almost Wink

The one thing is though, the upgrades aren't even that drastic, and most of the "upgrades" for this new DS put it down, not up.

At least with the DS-i all the upgrades were big like the camera and online store. Even the DSL had drastic changes that were mostly physical (actually I think all of them were) but they were amazing improvements from the DS Phat.

Probably making this the worst DS upgrade IMO.

Good for people with bad eyes I suppose.

It'll just have the black outlines like how playing GBA games had for the DSlite I'm guessing.

Glad I was on the anti-DSi bandwagon.
Now I'll have to transfer onto the anti-DSiLL bandwagon.

Will people please stop buying these so we get a legitimate successor?

1. The same thing goes for anyone who bought any console previous to a hardware upgrade. Like it or not, it's a money-making strategy and all of them do it (PSPGo, PS3 Slim, Xbox 360 Elite, etc.).

2. It's unlikely that a marginally larger screen will have any significant impact on the graphics quality when dealing with screens that are this small. It's not like they're going to a full-size TV screen here...

The graphics will look fine. Its for older people anyway, pretty much. Its also going to be super expensive.

If all goes well this'll drop the DSi price so I can buy one.

i like it. i'll definitely import one. my DS phat is an import too. it never leaves my room so portability isnt an issue for me.
