10 years ago Deus Ex was released for the PC in 2000 and received critical acclaim across the board. And now Eidos Montreal (under Square Enix) is working on a prequel to the original game labelled Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The title is set 25 years before the original and is said to return to the roots of the first game. The Deus Ex universe is set in a time when humans have developed nanotechnologies that can enhance humans. In Deus Ex: Human Revolution these advancements are just beginning to happen and a central theme in the game is the notion of augmentation. Is mechanically augmenting your body a good or bad thing?

You will be playing as Adam Jensen, a mechanically enhanced human who "never asked for this". The game plays in the classic Deus Ex action-RPG format. If you really like action games you can blast your way through the game, or take it more tactically and use stealth to your advantage. Along the lines of Mass Effect there are multiple ways to play the game and ever changing plot lines. Eidos Montreal has said that even though there are so many different plot lines the game will nonetheless segue into Deus Ex quite well.

This is definitely a game to keep an eye on, here's a teaser trailer that was released at GDC. Check it out! So tell me Wiiloaded, if it were possible to mechanically enhance yourself, what would you enhance?
