Its also more expensive than other VC games.
And well worth it.
I also only have a working Wii remote every second week or so.
I'm kinda wanting suggestions for GCN titles that we could play, too.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is a must-do on that list, I think.

Would anyone object? We'd probably cover more ground and this would give us time to see what games would be released on the Virtual Console for the Wii (and maybe DSi? I probably wouldn't participate in those, I've decided not to get a DSi).

Handheld games, too? I already mentioned the GBA versions of Final Fantasy (I&II - VI) and Golden Sun.

Just throwing suggestions out there.

In the next week or so, I'll be starting a poll on what games we would want to play first, so keep an eye out for that one.
Since I've lost my GCN cables, I only play GCN games on my Wii. So I'll refer to the Wiimote comment again.
I think we should have a good amount of normal DS games.
I don't think so. It's called 'Games of the Past' for a reason, I don't really want this to get too present.

Although I could see the playing of remade titles on the DS. Like Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Chrono Trigger, and Resident Evil: Deadly Silence. But I think that's stepping over the line. Maybe when we're done with everything else and have nothing else to play.
Then stick to NES, Genesis, Master System and SNES? Or perhaps VC only titles.
I think it's fine as is.

NES, SNES, GameBoy, GameBoy Color, N64, GCN, GBA, and whatever is on the VC that's worth playing.
DS is same generation as GC? Meh, nevermind.

Fatal fury and streets of rage anyone?
Sonic 1-3?
Bonk 1-3?
Nuetopia 1-2?
GCN generation was the GBA.

Anyway...

I wouldn't mind trying Sonic, I've only the one game that I never finished.

Never heard of the others, though.

FF and SoR are beat 'em up games and are aweeesssoommmeeee
Sonic is sonic
Bonk is a platformer
Nuetopia is a zelda style game

And GC was both GBA and DS, GC was out 2001 then DS 2004.
Doesn't change the fact that it's a current gen platform. =/
Still last gen too
As for how it was grouped; GBA is partnered with the GCN generation, DS is with Wii. Plus it's still being supported. How is it "last gen"? Just because of when it was released? How about when it's successor is released? There's nothing to top the DS right now in terms of generations, so the DS is current gen. I'll only let remakes of old titles that we otherwise couldn't get our hands on, onto this list (Final Fantasy III, Fire Emblem, for example).

An-y-way.

Sonic, Bonk (Bonk's Adventure, right?), and Nuetopia going on the list.
    Bonk's (1, 2, 3) (TurboGrafx-16)
    Castlevania (Nintendo Entertainment System)
    Chrono Trigger (Nintendo DS)
Donkey Kong Country (1, 2, 3) (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (Nintendo GameCube)
Final Fantasy (I, II, III, IV, V, VI) (GameBoy Advance, Nintendo DS)
    Fire Emblem (GameBoy Advance)
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Nintendo GameCube)
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (GameBoy Advance)
    F-Zero (series)
    Golden Sun (GameBoy Advance)
Golden Sun: The Lost Age (GameBoy Advance)
    The Legend of Zelda (Series)
    Lords of Thunder (TurboGrafx-16)
    Megaman (Series)
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (Nintendo GameCube)
    Nuetopia (1, 2) (TurboGrafx-16)
    Paper Mario (Nintendo 64)
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Nintendo GameCube)
    Pokémon (Series)
Sonic the Hedgehog (1, 2, 3) (Sega Genesis)
    Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64)
Super Mario Bros. (1, 2 and 3) (Nintendo Entertainment System)
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)
Super Metroid (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)
    Ys: Book I & II (TurboGrafx-16)

I also added a few games that I think would be an entertaining. Thoughts?

Tags for systems have been added just in case you might wonder what games are on your region's VC (I've put these up according to North America's).
Hated Ys 1 and 2.
So not that? Oh well. I'll have to try it out on my own time.

I want to keep Lords of Thunder on there.

xD
Why is Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones on there, but Fire Emblem: The Binding Sword and Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword not?

Sacred Stones is a good game, but way too easy and one of the weakest Fire Emblem imo.
I'll try Wikipedia next time. xD

"Blazing Sword" is the regular FE that was first released in NA. No where do I see "Binding Sword".

Putting that on up now.
Binding Sword is Fire Emblem 6, sometimes called "Sword of Seals"

Its Roy's (fantastic) game.
