The initial list is based on stuff from Metacritic, the top 100 games on IGN, and some personal opinion.

That isn't to say, of course, that the games are stuck where they are.

I'm guessing it's more of the general reception of the game.

So I don't get my head chewed off for making common sense the last time I suggested it, let me explain the second post:

The list is based on what the forum members believe to be the system's must-own games. According to how well it is welcomed, the game is ranked amongst the three ranks given: Essential, Great, and Good. Games that are anticipated well enough are put into the Upcoming section of the list, and when those titles are released, they are either placed into the three categories, or not at all depending on how well it is recieved amongst the members.

If you don't like how the list is, try to make your point politely and professionally (I.E. don't be a jerk about it - what we've seen earlier), and if you can get enough support for other members, you won't get your ass pointed to the second post by yours truly (because that's what I do, and you probably deserve it for not reading the damn post). If you can't do that, then your place really isn't in this thread. Unless, of course, you're just here to look up what games you should/intend to buy next, then by all means browse!

I think I'm over this thread already. Sigh. What a good idea, squandered by childish behavior. All I have done, is compiled a list of games in vague order of quality. It is completely open to debate, and if any adjustments are to be made all it takes is a civil discussion and some support.

The Wii and DS ones went fine. Why is the PS3 one is running into trouble?

That would be the same as putting Virtual Console games on the Wii list.

Perhaps its best if we stick to PS3 games in the PS3 list?

I think Blazblue might want to go under essential. I mean, its arguably the best fighter on the PS3.

Maybe. I stuck it under great for now as I had seen nothing but positive feedback. But as for moving it to essentials we'll see how others view it. I'm thinking it wouldn't be out of place under essentials.

I has me a PS3 and KillZone 2. I'll update this post with my PSN ID when I set it up, and I'm picking up LBP & Uncharted tomorrow.
