Fraction of Steam Community seeks to boycott L4D2?

Well, the first L4D only came out in November of last year. It is REALLY soon in my books.

12k+ members... how many people bought L4D? 360 and PC combined, im sure it's over 1M.

this boycott is the equivalent to an online petition. nothing's gonna happen, but i hope im wrong.

Like I said, Valve probably won't care. They make too much money to care. But I once believed they cared for their community.

I don't think I'll both with either L4D's now, I'll just jump into TF2.

As for extra content, I'm sure there's nothing stopping them from adding additional stuff into the game?

The problem is they already stated that this is a console game, with a (better) PC port.
They're marketing it like a console game; console gamers will love it, PC gamers will whine. (like me)

I made the mistake of thinking they'd treat it like a PC game, even for the console players, give them a taste of what we get with TF2. I should have known better knowing how they treated TF2 for consoles.


But anyway, unless its priced like an expansion (no more than 30$) I won't be buying it.

I just don't know many companies that announce sequels just barely over the 6 month mark for a game not that old. Except Activision, and they are douches.

And even then the fanboys got denied pre-orders because their store didn't find it on their damn system >:-(

Heh, also, they nearly sold me gears 2. They rang it up and everything but just as he was about give me the game and receipt he released what game he was selling me. Sad face.
