Alright. I have both consoles, but I think the PS3 version will be better but im not sure. I don't have HDMI cables for my PS3 so it will looks like its on SD but I've got HD cables for my Xbox which makes it look better than the PS3.

I really don't know which version to get :/.

I understand that PS3 is only one disk and 360 is 3 I think but in no way it can be as bad as Star ocean with disks.

If you were in my situation which version would you guys get ( mostly LMX and Dume ;p )

360 = HD
PS3 = SD ( until I buy HDMI cords )

Doesn't the 360 also use HDMI cables for HD? They're not console specific.

Added note: HDMI cables are all the same; there's basically no difference between a 80$ set and a 15$ set, so get them cheap.

If you don't plan on getting HDMI cables, I'd say go for the 360 version. Without them, the advantage of the PS3 version is gone.
If you do, it's your call: better graphics on the PS3, or party chat on the 360.

(Who gives a crap if you have to change a disk after 8+ hours of play? Multiple disks isn't an issue for me at least. I remember when everyone cheered when they heard games would be on multiple disks cause it meant more gameplay...)

Yea i'm seeing your point but my 360 is an older version without the HDMI port in the back :/.

I'm going to go pick up some cheap cables right now from Tiger Direct.
Since the cables will work for the PS3 I'm thinking of getting it PS3..really hard decision but 360 Party chat is awesome. but then I can still have my mic on while I play on PS3 waste of electricity FTW

If you've got both on HD now then it comes down to which controller you prefer if and if you want party chat + multiple discs or no party chat and one disc.

I'm going to say get it for the PS3 for the sole reason that it's going to look better. Not to mention HDMI cables for the PS3 shouldn't run you more than $10.

However, depending on which control scheme you prefer, it's up to you.

From *screen shots* I'm not seeing any difference in looks? Though, key part, screen shots. We won't truly see 360 FFXIII till next month

First of all, your PS3 should have HD cables. They are dirt cheap >:U

Secondly, as everyone's been saying it is up to you. But I think you should get it on PS3. So you can join me in FF awesomeness. But it comes down to whether you prefer the features of either consoles. However, how often do you party chat during games? Even if the PS3 had that feature I probably wouldn't use it.

But its your call anyway.

Someone mentioned that the PS3 version benefits from being able to fit on one Bluray disc and not have to compress data.

ps3 is the definitive version.

Definitely the PS3 version. Textures aren't as compressed, neither is the music. Plus the PS3 version runs at 720p. The 360 version technically runs at 576p

Cutscenes run at 720p on 360, whilst they run on 1080p for PS3 as well while we're at it.

And while we're at it the 360 has a locked and steady framerate while the PS3 stutters at times

At least it sounds like they didn't slack off in one area.

I'd need to see the actual benchmarks.

example: I can run some of my PC games at a stuttering 90 frames per second; where I might dip down to the unbearable 60 FPS mark. Sarcasm italics.

This stuttering framerate is, of course, much better than a steady 60, or possibly lower.

Thats a complete review on the difference between both games.

The 360 does have a more steady framerate, but I read somewhere that someone playing and the game goes down to 10-15fps on the 360 version .

The Digital Foundry review is good..if your a PS3 owner, sounds really biased imo.

Theres tons of reviews out, even a nice 5/10 from Edge gaming. They gave FFX a 6/10 and that game is awesome

So far it looks like this game takes until the 15 hour mark to open up and become a great Final Fantasy game.

Edge just do this for attention. They've done it a few times, didn't they give Corruption like a 5 or something too? I can't remember examples but yeah.
